ChampionX has an immediate need for a Sr. Financial Analyst I within our Latin America Commercial Finance Team located in Puerto Madero - Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the FP&A activities which include monthly reporting and analysis and deep dive analysis for multiple countries in the region. The role will add value through innovation and deep dive analysis behind the business drivers. The role is highly dynamic, has high visibility and will interact with teams across time zones. The incumbent should be able to build good interpersonal relations and have system and indicators in place to measure business behavior on an ongoing basis.

Main responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales teams to create P&Ls for customer bids. Support tender process and play key role in developing winning bids in collaboration with regional marketing and supply chain – including costing, pricing, scenario analysis and providing bid alternatives

  • Calculate and analyze contractual price adjustments for customers

  • Support district leadership and sales teams to drive business profitability and probability

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and commercial insights, supporting new and existing contracts/opportunities from a commercial and financial perspective.

  • Lead profitability analyses and provide guidance on CAPEX, freight, product cost, and price

  • Develop and maintain regular, as well as ad hoc, reporting materials to district leadership and identify improvement opportunities to the P&L

  • Lead the formation of reports and analysis of contract profitability, forecasts and routine performance reports, collating and evaluating data from across the business to provide information and insight to provide direction to the Commercial function and support senior level decision making.

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly sales and margin forecasts, annual budgets, and coordinate / consolidate in collaboration with commercial team

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, supply chain and FP&A) to achieve business objectives and support customers

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in Finance with proven experience in commercial finance and/or finance analysis

  • High level proficiency of computer literacy, in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Advance English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP and Business Intelligence experience

  • Proactive, driven to deliver results in a timely manner, and team-work culture

  • Ability to multi-task in a very dynamic environment

  • Self-motivated with the ability to consistently deliver results under time constraints
